Expressions

We aren't allowed to play with crayons because Ysabella eats them and I draw on the walls. The special markers that only write on special paper don't write. Plus I can get them to write on the floor. So Grandmama bought us some washable markers.

We had fun until I took Ysabella's green marker and Mommy made me give it back. I threw a fit. Mommy was dealing with me and when she looked up, this is what Ysabella had done.
So we now know, these markers wash off of us. Not sure about the furniture yet though, maybe tomorrow.

Happy Birthday to Us

Hi.

We turned 2. That's right, 2.

Mommy has celebrated all weekend.

Saturday we saw our first big kid movie "How to Train Your Dragon." We got to sit in our own seats. We ate popcorn and nachos and had juice and cola. Mommy even packed some cinnamon Teddy Grahams. Daddy said we were good but we have to learn not to talk to the screen. I don't know why we can't talk to the screen. Hiccup needed some help. We had to warn him. Plus we had to cheer him on.

Then we went to the bookstore. Mommy says we get to go to the bookstore every birthday. We ran around and then we played with the train set. We could have stayed longer but Xavier had a melt down and Mommy said she was done. Xavier is always having melt downs. He keeps losing the fight with Mommy, but he keeps trying.

We got up early this morning and went to breakfast with Mommy and Daddy. We had french toast sticks, bacon and sweet tea. Then we went to the store. Then we went and played the lottery. We played a Pick 3 "3 2 8" (our birthday) and a Pick 4 "2 0 0 8" (year we were born). I know it doesn't sound very scientific, but hey, we're 2 and these are the dates we know.

We came home and Mommy made us lemon cupcakes with celebration icing. We at a lot of them. She took lots of pictures. Check back later for the slideshow. Anyway, Mommy made us cupcakes and made Daddy some hamburgers and some hotdogs. I don't eat hotdogs. I helped eat Daddy's coleslaw and potato chips though.

We got lots of nice clothes from Granny Charline, Grandmama Barbara, and Aunt Renee. We got great cards from everyone and Mommy let us keep the ones Grandpa John sent. We read those over and over again. Our neighbor, Miss Susie, gave us some really nice stuffed animals. Mommy says we got a lot of love too, from a lot of people, but it's hard to see love. You just have to feel it. Oh, and Grandmama gave us alphabet and number blocks.

I love the blocks. I build a tower, then I knock it down. I tried to kick it but Mommy said no kicking. So instead I get on the floor and spin around four or five times. I knock the tower down and scatter everything else near me all over the room.

Xavier can count to 10 all by himself. He doesn't. He always gets Mommy and Daddy to help with the numbers 1, 7 and 10. He also knows almost the entire alphabet. He's always pointing at letters and saying them out loud. Grandmama kisses him and says good boy each time he gets it right. He's such a show off. That's ok. He's my brother and I love him anyway.

Well, I have to go now. We're still watching the basketball game. We realy want Baylor to beat Duke. Cause like Mommy says, any team can win on any given day. Plus all the number one seeds need to get knocked out. It doesn't look like Baylor is going to pull it out though so we have to cheer for West Virginia. But I really want Butler to take it all. Xavier wanted Tennessee but they lost.

Bye.
