On the Day

This is what our living room looked like at 8am. Everything you see is a gift.
Aunt Renee gave us a tree (and Mommy says Aunt Renee will come down every year to set it up for us). Mr Wes gave us a red wagon. Granny Charline, Grandmama B, and a bunch of cousins sent gifts.

Thank you all!!!!!!

We headed for the wagon first. There is room for both of us and all the stuff we need to keep close by.

The first gift Ysa opened was books. She was so happy.

I opened a new sweat suit. A player has to maintain.

Granny Charline gave us guitars. We strummed for a while. Sorry about the volume. Mommy forgot to turn on the mic.

On the Eve

Mommy said every family has its own traditions. And now that we are 2, we can start our family traditions.

So we did.

Tradition #1: Watch Coraline

Tradition #2: No Nap

Tradition #3: Cold cut sandwiches and fresh fruit all day

Tradition #4: Lick bowl, spoon, and icing spatula of homemade chocolate icing (Mommy makes the best ever!!!!)

Tradition #5: Help Mommy make gingerbread cookies

First we roll the cookie batter.

The we cut the cookies.

Viola!!!

Mommy's Birthday 11-13

I made Mommy's birthday cake. Ysa made the icing.
We were good all day yesterday. Mommy didn't have to spank us once. Evan came over to play. Daddy kept pooring Mommy a pink drink. Gram made the best dinner ever.
We just had a great time.

Fall Activities

We are really enjoying this fall weather. Gram takes us outside everyday so we can play.
Last week we decided to help Daddy take care of the yard. He's been working so hard that he hasn't had time. And Mommy doesn't do yard work.
So this is us.

Starting the Day

We are learning how to use spoons and forks. We are getting pretty good. More food makes it in our mouths than on our clothes. Yesterday Ysa and I sat down for a quiet breakfast of oatmeal and raisins.

Got to Keep it Tight and Right

I'm a big boy. So I get my hair cut, regularly. And when I grow up, I'm going to have swagger like Daddy and Grandpa Oscar. Miss Stella takes care of me. She understands that I have a lot to live up to.

Grandmama and Mommy do Ysabella's hair. She looks so pretty in the first hour. Then she starts to take it down. Yesterday was the first day she left her hair up all day long. Even this morning when we got up, her hair was still done. Mommy was so happy but Grandmama says it's a blip.

Thanks Auntie Carlise

Auntie Carlise sent Ysabella a bunch of 3T and 4T clothes. I helped Grandmama open the box.

We went through everything. Ysabella fell in love with the leopard print coat and muff.

Then she fell in love with the princess dress. Grandmama couldn't get her to take it off until Mommy came home.

When Mommy went through the box she let Ysabella try on a pink floral dress. It had crinoline (I don't know what that means but it tickled Grandmama and Mommy.) Then Mommy found a sweater. Ysabella put it on. For the rest of the night Ysabella had on the dress and sweater. She even fell asleep in it.

Oh and notice the shoes. They are too big, but that didn't matter to Ysabella. She played for hours in those shoes.

There was nothing in the box for me -- but hey, like Mommy says, I can't get everything. So I got to take all the clothes out the box, put them back in the box, take them back out, and put them back in again. Grandmama let me do that three times. I had a ball.

Hello again

I know we haven't posted in a while. Blame it on Mommy. She's always at the computer. She's been creating websites for other people. So our website got put on hold. She's even slowed down on the picture taking. But that's ok. She can only do so much.
Below are some pictures of me and Granpa Oscar.

Super Star -- Action Star

Grandmama thinks we need agents. Mama says we need a job. Daddy says we need to practice.

Reading Fiend

Ysa is a reading fiend. It doesn't matter if it's a book, a newsletter, a magazine or what.
Now she's taking to reading the map everytime we get in the car. And Mommy keeps taking pictures of it.

4th of July

We went to Indy to visit our cousins Eva and K3. We had the best time. Eva took us to the local hot spot. K3 let us play with his ride. Mommy and Daddy had a good time too.

Below are few pictures of our trip.

In order: 1) Me at the local hot spot. I had on my surf-suit. 2)Ysa had a great time at the local hot spot. We have plans to go back. 3) Mommy let us play in the hotel. So I got on my soap box. I had a few things to say. 4) Oh, and check out Ysa. Watching all those episodes of America's Next Top Model is paying off.

We did take pictures with Eva and K3. We are in negotiations with their agent to see if we can use the pictures and what the conditions are. Damn agents!

Just Us

Vacation pt 2

Mommy took us to see the most beautiful college campus in the world.

We learned about the Emancipation Oak. It's the biggest tree we've ever seen.

We fell asleep with all the riding and the heat. But Mommy says it counts just because we were there. This is us in the Hampton University Chapel.

Daddy took Ysa for a ride on the tractor.

Mommy took me for a ride.

Ysa liked it so much she tried to drive herself.

Vacation pt 1

We went on vacation with Mommy and Daddy. We played outside everyday. We played in the grass. We played in the dirt. We ran. We climbed. We had a great time. Mommy says we slept through the night each and every night.
Here are a few pictures.

Me playing in the grass at Uncle Senior's house.

Ysa doing the same.

Me moving dirt from the pot to the glass.

Me moving dirt at the playground.

Expressions

We aren't allowed to play with crayons because Ysabella eats them and I draw on the walls. The special markers that only write on special paper don't write. Plus I can get them to write on the floor. So Grandmama bought us some washable markers.

We had fun until I took Ysabella's green marker and Mommy made me give it back. I threw a fit. Mommy was dealing with me and when she looked up, this is what Ysabella had done.
So we now know, these markers wash off of us. Not sure about the furniture yet though, maybe tomorrow.
